The surah's big idea
We thank Allah for His blessings; He knows what is in our hearts
What did I learn from the surah?
1. The racing horsesAllah swears by the horses that race in His cause until their breathing can be heard, that strike the rocks with their hooves so sparks fly, and that charge toward the enemy at dawn.
2. Dust at dawnWith their fast running the horses stirred up high clouds of dust, and carried their riders into the middle of the enemy.
3. People and blessingsPeople often forget their Lord's blessings and do not thank Him for them, and they know this about themselves. And they love wealth very much.
4. Allah knows everythingDoesn't a person know that on the Day of Judgement Allah will bring people out of their graves to be judged, and show what was hidden in hearts, good or bad? On that Day their Lord knows them and all they did; nothing is hidden from Him.
