The surah's big idea
Whoever gives and is mindful of Allah, Allah eases his way to good
What did I learn from the surah?
1. Your efforts differAllah swears by the night when it covers the earth with darkness, by the day when it shines, and by His creating male and female: your deeds differ. Some work only for this world, and some work for the Hereafter.
2. We will ease his wayAs for the one who gives from his wealth, is mindful of Allah, and believes in the best reward, Allah will make the way of good easy for him and smooth his affairs.
3. What use is his wealth? But the one who is stingy with his wealth, thinks he does not need his Lord and denies the best reward, his way leads to misery. And the wealth he held back will not help him when he falls into the Fire.
4. Guidance is from UsAllah shows us the path of guidance that leads to Him and to Paradise, and makes it clear from the wrong path. And to Allah alone belong the Hereafter and this world.
5. A blazing FireSo I have warned you, people, of a blazing Fire. Only the most wretched will enter it: the one who denied the truth and turned away.
6. He will be well pleasedThe most mindful will be kept far from it: the one who gives his wealth to purify himself, not to repay a favour anyone did him, but only seeking the face of his Lord Most High. And he will be given in Paradise until he is well pleased.
