Surah Al-Fatiha
Paper-cut picture from Surah Al-Fatiha: a straight sunlit path across a green meadow toward a bright horizon, side paths fading into mist
Al-Fatiha 1:6–7

Guide us to the straight path

Surah mind map
The meaning, simply

We ask Allah to guide us to the straight path and keep us on it until we meet Him. It is Islam, the clear path that leads to Allah's pleasure and His Paradise. It is the path of those Allah has blessed, the prophets and the righteous, not the path of those who knew the truth and did not act on it, nor of those who strayed from it. After Al-Fatiha we say «Amin», which means: O Allah, answer our prayer.
