Thamud and Aad
Thamud, the people of Salih, and Aad, the people of Hud, denied the Day. Thamud were destroyed by a terrible blast, and Aad by a cold, violent wind that Allah sent on them for seven nights and eight days in a row, until they lay like hollow fallen palm trunks. Do you see any of them left?
Meaning from Tafsir Al-Muyassar, simplified for children. Reviewed by Sherif Alkady, 17 October 2026.

Aad's strength did not help them when they denied. What truly helps us with Allah?
