Al-Muddaththir 74:43–47
We were not of those who prayed
قَالُوا۟ لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ ٱلْمُصَلِّينَ ٤٣ وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ ٱلْمِسْكِينَ ٤٤ وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ ٱلْخَآئِضِينَ ٤٥ وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ ٤٦ حَتَّىٰٓ أَتَىٰنَا ٱلْيَقِينُ ٤٧
The meaning, simply
They said: we were not of those who prayed, nor did we feed the poor; we used to join in idle false talk with those who did, and we denied the Day of Judgement, until death came to us.
