Surah Al-Mursalat
Paper-cut picture from Surah Al-Mursalat: three thin columns of grey smoke rising from a dark distant canyon under a hot hazy sky, a bare dry plain, no trees
Al-Mursalat 77:29–34

A shade that gives no shade

The meaning, simply

It will be said to the deniers that Day: Go to the Fire you used to deny! Go to a shade of its smoke splitting into three columns, giving no shade and no protection from the flame. It throws sparks as huge as castles, like yellowish camels. Woe that Day to the deniers.

Think with me

A tree's shade in this world cools us. Which deed brings you closer to the shades of Paradise?
