Why verses 1–3 of Surah Ad-Duha were revealed

The story as it comes in the sound hadith, in simple words for children.

The Prophet ﷺ fell ill for two or three nights and did not stand in night prayer. A woman from the idolaters came and said to him: O Muhammad, I think your devil (she meant the one who brings you revelation) has left you. So Allah sent down «By the morning brightness, and by the night when it is still, your Lord has not left you, nor does He hate you».
